No marriage can survive without the foundation of trust.  This simple truth is so fundamental and basic to a healthy marriage that few of us stop to think about it.  Without a profound respect and faith in each others actions and thoughts, a marriage can not progress and grow.  The same is true with a personal relationship.  A committed relationship, a loving marriage where two people learn to love and grow with each other, can never blossom without the fundamental prerequisite of trust between both partners.

Rebuilding Your Marriage with Trust

No marriage can survive without the foundation of trust.  This simple truth is so fundamental and basic to a healthy marriage that few of us stop to think about it.  Without a profound respect and faith in each others actions and thoughts, a marriage can not progress and grow.

Think about it.  At the workplace, in school, in social gatherings with out friends, the common accepted understanding is that a person’s word is taken at face value.  The person means what they mean when they say “I will see you at eight o’clock tonight.”  In other words, our words, our actions, our very thoughts can not be scrutinized on a daily or hourly basis just to make sure that person is telling the truth.  It’s just not practical.  And when practicality is absent from any relationship, be it social, work related, or personal, then that relationship is doomed to fail.

The same is true with a personal relationship.  A committed relationship, a loving marriage where two people learn to love and grow with each other, can never blossom without the fundamental prerequisite of trust between both partners.  This is the first and absolute necessary component to building and maintaining a healthy relationship.  Believe and trust in each other and the rest will follow.
